Keeping children entertained in the kitchen and creating good learning experiences are very important. We spend so much time in our lives purchasing food, preparing food, eating food and sharing stories while we eat that it’s important to get the kids involved from a young age. One of Miss 4’s favourite activities is cooking with me, something we try do together at least once a week. I’m quite surprised by the attitude changes that I experience from her about trying new things when she has been involved in their creation. When she knows what is in something and has been actively involved, her first choice is to try it.
