We were sent a Box for Monkeys to try, so this is a sponsored post, but all the views in it are my own. We came home from holidays to an awesome box for monkeys on our doorstep. It’s a box full of kids art and craft, reading, games and fun! Then I made a silly move…I opened it with Miss 5. Why was it a silly move? Because her intention was then to sit there and do everything! And we had a dancing concert to get to…epic battle ensued. I’ve learnt my lesson!
This first thing we noticed was how beautifully the box was packaged, then we saw the ideas for reusing the box. Such a great idea, we are going to use our box to contain all of our Christmas art and craft supplies!
I used to be a primary school teacher, so opening up a box of goodies and finding it themed and all centered around one topic was awesome. Some of the activities are for an older age range, but that’s ok with parent guidance. The pig money box for example was for age 6 and above, but working together Miss 5 and I did a pretty decent effort. Plus it was quite nice to work together on it as its now something special she can keep to remember working on it with mummy.
We’ve played countless games of Farm animal bingo, read the book A year on our farm about a hundred times, started on the sticker book and colouring book and have really enjoyed playing with the all the contents of the box.
It’s fabulous that there are ideas for using each of the items and for follow-on activities as well. We have used our cookie cutter for food dye paintings!
Now- I’ve included Box for Monkeys in my Christmas Gift Guide for a reason. Have you got family interstate? Do they insist on buying presents and sending them to the kids? Take the guess work out of it. Seriously, refer them to Box for Monkeys. Prices start from $49.95 a month and mean that everything is taken care of. There is at least a month worth of activities in the box and the kids will get something fun and you’ll have an awesome time working through the box together.
