I was given a Breville Boss To Go at a Kids Business event that was held in April (so this post is sponsored, but all the opinions are mine). There are a few factors that turn kids off smoothies. One of those factors is smoothness. A smoothie must be smooth for kids to drink it. Neither of my kids like “bits” or “grit”. “Lumps” or “thick bits” are a no go. So, I’ve steered clear of smoothies. But with the Boss To-Go I’ve achieved the perfect smoothie for my kids. It’s a green swamp monster kids smoothie that tastes great! There’s a whole recipe book that comes with the boss to go, so don’t stress if this one sounds way too green for you.
So what’s great about this blender? It makes super smooth smoothies and had the power to blitz really quickly to a thin and fine texture. It also uses cafe style cups that you blend straight in, meaning you can drink straight from the cups. Less mess and less washing up is a win for me.
Master 3 was on a green stuff hiatus for a while and refused flatout to touch anything that was green. Then I called in the big guns. We pretended to be swamp monsters and marched around the house with green towels on our backs…looking for green things to eat and drink. We ate a green apple, crunched some uncooked broccoli and even ate cucumber. Then we gathered all the green stuff we found and made a green swamp monster kids smoothie.
The kids both tried the smoothie and Miss 5 drank a whole glass, probably therefore having her entire daily requirements of fruits and veggies and “superfoods”.
