Hey! Apparently it’s back to school time, did you notice? LOL. Well, after a massive week last week when my blog was down and all sorts of other stuff going on, I’m back. And I’m back with a Litter free living large trio lunch review. This one didn’t make it into my end of year review, so it’s ended up with it’s own special one, which should have gone live last week, but couldn’t. Read right to end for how you can score one.
I’m no stranger to Kylie from Litter Free Living, she has been a supporter of my blog since I began back in 2014 and when she offered to send me the Litter Free Living large trio lunch box to review, I was keen.
Litter free living large trio lunch review
Dimensions: 22.5cm x 16.5cm x 6.5cm
Wow! this lunchbox actually can hold a full apple! A proper real size one, not one of those baby apples plucked from the tree in its infancy and sold as a “kids” apple. This aside, let’s look at the pros and cons of the lunchbox.
Being stainless steel, there are no plastics involved and the food grade stainless steel is going to last forever. It’s a got a simple design, fits two sandwiches stacked on top of each other and has two other compartments which are separate. The lid fits snugly, but not too snugly to make it difficult to get on and off.
The compartments are deep, it’s dishwasher safe and it will fit in most standard cooler bags. With such a large capacity, it is perfect for an older child, or one who has to take everything in the one lunchbox. I’ve used it here for Mr Kidgredients lunch and it was the perfect size.
Of course it isn’t leakproof, so is best for dry foods, but that is the reality of all stainless steel lunchboxes. The depth of the compartments means that it really needs things like dip or remnants of rice rinsed out before it goes in the dishwasher or they will stick.
Some people might think the price is a major con- $42.95, but this is a lunchbox that will last, so it’s an investment as long as you have kids that don’t lose their stuff!
