So the holidays haven’t been kind to us this time. In fact they have been so unkind to us that we have left the house as a family: TWICE. Two times. Once to go to the Australian Meat emporium and once for a games afternoon. That is actually it. The thing that has rescued us while we’ve all been sick and in various stages of fever…has been the release of Boss Baby.
It’s perfect for a family night in in this cold weather to enjoy the movie!
We didn’t get to the cinema to see this, but we saw the shorts and the kids were keen, but missed out until it’s dvd release. We’ve redeemed ourselves now though, as I think we’ve watched it at least 5 times these holidays from various fever-ridden locations in the loungeroom!
I have to admit, at first glance I didn’t really think it was going to appeal, but it’s got enough twists and turns and giggles to keep the kids interested and laughing. It also has a couple of jokes for the adults, which is always a plus!
I don’t want to ruin the story line for you, so I’m going to be vague and succinct: a new baby comes home, but he’s nothing like is older sibling Tim expected…and he and Tim go on some amazing adventures together to save the world as we know it (of course?). Our highlight, despite the awesome story line is apparently one scene that we’ve watched over and over again that illicits giggles even from the most miserable of kids: Tim is slapping baby powder on Boss Baby….and a little fart happens…apparently for a 4 year old and a 6 year old that’s cinematic gold.
It’s a great movie the whole family can have a giggle at with the added bonus of being able to listen to Alec Baldwin the whole way through! Have a family movie night and enjoy it now. New to Buy or Rent on Blu-ray, DVD or Digital HD
