Here is our review of the Skip hop Zoo insulated Jar.
$32.95 from Lime Tree Kids.
The skip hop zoo insulated jar holds 325mls of food and can be used for hot or cold food items. If you are using it for hot items, make sure to prep the container!
Pros: simple design in a cute range of girl and boy designs. A lightweight thermos that will do the job for school for small portions of foods. This comes with a fork that goes in a clip on the side, which can hold basically all the bits of kids cutlery I could find.
The non slip base is great for making sure it stays put.
The lip under the lid is smooth, making it relatively easy to clean. The silicone sealing ring on the lid is clear and wasn’t stained by our pasta during testing.
The size is awesome for smaller kids when accompanied by a lunchbox of other stuff. I generally send a recess container with a thermal container to make sure they get enough variety. It’s also handy for keeping bread separate so it doesn’t go soggy with soup. Dishwasher safe and easy to take apart!
Cons: This food jar is great and the designs are perfect for little kids. I think older kids might not find the designs “old enough” for them. The spoon/fork can be a bit bulky for getting into the corners of the jar. There is no handle, so it can be a little difficult for kids to carry.
Best for: Little kids who want a warm lunch at lunchtime in a small, lightweight container. Easy to open and shut and clean.
