Age range: 4+ (depending on appetite and whether the child takes a separate fruit break).
Where to buy: Big W
Best for: Kids who want a full sandwich and a variety of snacks who have outgrown cute bento styles and want something plainer. Kids who don’t take wet foods in their lunchbox.
For all other info, head back to the review table.
With six compartments, this super light weight bento box has 3 leakproof areas. The central section is leakproof, the sides are leakproof, but the individual compartments aren’t.
The range comes in lots of bright fun colours and all have a semi transparent lid with four clips holding the lid to the base when closed. The lid completely detaches from the base when open.
The smaller compartments are ideal for drier foods such as crackers, cheese, carrot sticks etc and the central compartment easily holds a sandwich.
The lunchbox is easily washed in the dishwasher and the lid is dishwasher safe too, meaning the whole thing is quick and easy to clean. It’s lightweight and the fact that it is available at the local shops is a great selling point.
Cons: Having four clips for closing, you need to be sure that the lid is on correctly and all four clips are aligned before attempting to close it. If the side compartments were leak proof, I would say that smash had finally cracked the big time! But for the price, this is a fabulous buy!
I was sent this lunchbox to review, but was not paid to complete the review. All of the opinions are mine.
