Age range: 2.5-8 (depending on appetite and whether the child takes a separate fruit break)
Where to buy: Little Bento World
Best for: Kids who like a full sandwich and bits and pieces. Also good for wraps! Great for parents who need extra guidance due to pictures on the base of the lunchbox.

This is the more versatile of the Yumboxes. Why? Because it has 4 compartments, but I’ve made it a 6 or 7 compartment lunchbox with the use of silicone cups. Doing this means you can take a sandwich one day, but then take something deconstructed or on skewers, or sushi without needing to have a different lunchbox.
Like the Original it’s entirely leak proof (food- not water), has no transfer from compartments to compartment due to the silicone seals and seals really well. The tray is removable and you can purchase other trays for it (the Yumbox Panino and Yumbox Original are not however interchangeable due to the seals).
I wash our yumbox in the dishwasher, obviously separating the tray from the outside. It cleans up just like new every time and has not caused any troubles (top shelf is recommended).
The range of colours is awesome as are the tray designs, it would be hard to find a child that can’t get excited about the colour range and the different pictures on this lunchbox.
Lids are connected and the clasps are easy to open, Master 3 has no trouble with opening it.
Cons: Using silicone cups can mean they can get lost, but it’s a compromise for the versatility. Like with the Yumbox Original, you’ve got to make sure you don’t put food higher than the top of the plastic tray of the lunchbox as it will get squashed. Price. At $40 you’ve got to be sure it comes home in the school bag!
